MANILA, Philippines — The International Series Philippines, presented by BingoPlus, is set to showcase a remarkable roster of golf talent as it makes its debut at Sta. Elena from October 23 to 26. Recent Asian Tour superstar Kazuki Higa, fresh off consecutive wins, joins local favorite Miguel Tabuena alongside a strong contingent of LIV Golf players.
Higa, who has claimed eight titles on the Japan Golf Tour, recently led the Asian Tour Order of Merit following back-to-back triumphs at the Shinhan Donghae Open in Korea and the Yeangder TPC in Chinese Taipei. His participation adds significant prestige to the tournament.
Meanwhile, two-time Asian Tour winner Tabuena expressed pride in competing on home soil. During the tournament's media golf day, he emphasized the excitement of hosting world-class players in the Philippines, calling the event a "dream come true."
"It is very, very exciting and I'm very glad that The International Series is making its first ever stop in the Philippines. To be able to have Major champions like Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel among others playing in one of the best courses we have back home, it is truly a dream come true," said Tabuena.
The line-up is further bolstered by a growing number of LIV Golf stars and Asian Tour champions. Notable entries include New Zealand's Ben Campbell, a winner of both the International Series Morocco 2024 and the 2023 Hong Kong Open, American rising star Caleb Surratt of Legion XIII, IronHeads GC players Kevin Na and Danny Lee, as well as Sam Horsfield from Majesticks GC.
With such an impressive assembly of golfing talent, the International Series Philippines is poised to become a highlight on the region's sporting calendar, offering world-class competition and increased exposure to Southeast Asia's flourishing golf community.
