Ayala Cinemas Introduces Special Popcorn for Wicked: For Good Release

Ayala Malls Cinemas has unveiled limited-edition popcorn flavors inspired by the musical sequel Wicked: For Good, now showing in Philippine cinemas. The film, a follow-up to the original Wicked and adapted from the Broadway musical, stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good. To enhance the movie experience, the Movie Snackbar at Ayala Malls Cinemas is offering two special popcorn varieties: Pink Sweet Bubble Pop and Green Emerald Nori Crunch, packaged in themed Wicked: For Good tumblers.
In related cultural news, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde is hosting the MCADxMoving Image: Animation Festival, showcasing a selection of animated films by international artists and stop-motion designers. Screenings will take place from November 26 to 28 at the Benilde Design + Arts Campus Theater in Malate, Manila, featuring titles such as Ernest & Celestine (2012), Le Roman de Renard (1937), and Filipino film Saving Sally (2016). The event is free and open to the public.
The Pinoy Playlist Music Festival returns to the BGC Arts Center in Taguig from November 28 to 30. Under the theme "Halo-halo, Sapin-sapin, Sabay-sabay," the festival highlights over 100 Filipino artists and groups, including KIKX and Day One, The Bloomfields, Tres Marias, Bugoy, and Gab Cabangon. Tickets are available online and at TicketWorld outlets, with prices ranging from ₱750 for students to ₱3,900 for a full three-day pass.
Meanwhile, Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque is preparing for its Christmas Tree Lighting event on November 29. Festivities will begin at 4 p.m. at the Garden Fountain area and include immersive gift zones, holiday surprises, and a concert featuring Dionela and Ely Buendia.
Additional entertainment highlights include the Indonesian girl group no na releasing their new single "the one" under 88rising, P-pop group ALAMAT headlining Cheers Kitchenpalooza at SM Mall of Asia on November 29, and the Disney+ debut of "The Roses," a modern remake of The War of the Roses, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman, set for December 3.
In the international music scene, the OPM Legends concert featuring Ely Buendia, Chito Miranda, and Arnel Pineda is slated for January 10, 2026, in Abu Dhabi. On the streaming front, HBO has renewed two Game of Thrones spinoff series, with "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" returning for a second season in 2027 and "House of the Dragon" continuing with its third season in summer 2026 and a fourth in 2028.
