Ace Frehley, the original guitarist and one of the founding members of the legendary rock band Kiss, has died at the age of 74. According to a family statement, Frehley's passing was the result of injuries sustained from a fall at his home. In their statement, the family expressed deep sorrow, saying, "We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth." They further commemorated his life, highlighting his humor, kindness, and remarkable achievements, affirming that "Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever."

Reports reveal that the fall caused a brain hemorrhage, leading to Frehley being placed on life support. Earlier in October, he had canceled his 2025 tour dates due to ongoing health issues.

Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, fellow Kiss members, also shared their condolences, stating, "We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley. He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history. He is and will always be a part of Kiss’ legacy. Our thoughts are with Jeanette, Monique and all those who loved him, including our fans around the world."

Frehley co-founded Kiss in 1973 and remained with the band until 1982, briefly reuniting for a tour in 1996, with his last performance alongside Kiss at the Kiss Kruise in 2018. Known for iconic tracks such as "I Was Made For Lovin’ You," "Rock and Roll All Nite," and "Detroit Rock City," Kiss secured its place in rock history. Frehley also enjoyed a solo career, delivering hits like "New York Groove," "Rock Soldiers," and "Rip It Out."

He leaves behind a considerable legacy as a pioneering figure in rock music, remembered fondly by fans, family, and fellow musicians alike.
