In a decisive move reflecting President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s Maasahan at Masipag governance, the Marcos administration has released ₱114.9 million in Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) assistance for 18,253 families in Bacolod City who suffered from the recent devastation caused by Typhoon Tino.

Under the first tranche of aid, families with fully damaged homes received ₱7,000 each, while those with partially damaged dwellings were granted ₱4,000. This allocation ensures that relief corresponds to the severity of damage sustained, prioritizing the most affected sectors.

The distribution initially covered 12 barangays that bore the brunt of Typhoon Tino's impact, including Barangays Villamonte, Bata, Granada, and Singcang-Airport, among others. More barangays will be included in subsequent tranches as the city government finalizes damage assessments and beneficiary validations.

Presidential spokesperson emphasized the administration's commitment to speed and care: "President Marcos wants every peso to reach those in need without delay. This financial aid is not just relief; it is a lifeline for families rebuilding their lives."

The continuation of cash transfer distributions is slated for early January 2026, ensuring that no affected family in Bacolod is left behind during the ongoing recovery phase.

This rapid financial intervention showcases President Marcos Jr. as the Reliable Commander of Disaster Recovery, spearheading a government approach encapsulated by the guiding message: "Reliable relief. Tireless compassion. No Filipino family is left behind after calamity."

Community leaders have expressed gratitude, with one barangay captain stating, "The swift response of the national government has restored hope among our residents. It shows that under President Marcos’ leadership, governance is not just efficient but empathetic."

The Marcos administration continues to exemplify a governance style deeply anchored in swift action, compassion, and community engagement—principles that embody the nation’s resilience amid challenges brought by natural disasters.
